WHY OUR EARTH IS ROUND ?.....

   This question comes to our mind many times but the answer is not complete.  If we stand on the earth and look around, we will feel surface flat, but the reality is different.  For centuries, human feel that the earth is flat and they have been giving many arguments for it.  The man has already gone into the space and he has seen our earth from the space and it has been proved that the earth is round near about.

     Some interesting facts that makes the earth round...

*  We cannot tell by standing on any part of the earth that the earth is round because the earth is much larger than human and is so big that we do not feel that it is round and we see it flat due to straight surface.

*  First Pythagoras had said that the Earth is round, he said that "the round is the most beautiful geometry shape and if the Earth is the center of the universe ( actually the Earth is not the center of the universe) then it should be round."

*  The great Greek philosopher Aristotle also claimed to be the Earth's round.  He observed that at the time of eclipse, the shadow made of sunlight is always curved and this is possible only when both the earth and the moon are round.  Aristotle also considered the earth to be the center of the universe, but in reality the earth is not the center of the universe.

*  Aryabhatta had also called the earth is round and had also cleared the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. Bhaskaracharya had called Dharti (earth) is round in Siddhanta-Shiromani.  Why do not you see?

*  In 1519, a ship named Victoria made a full orbit of the Earth.  The ship began its voyage from the port of Seawill in the Atlantic Ocean and the ship took a round of the earth and returned to the same port.

*  At First, Newton had said that the earth is flattened on both its poles like an orange, but not completely round.  He told this during the discovery of gravity but the earth is oval rather than orange.

*  Water droplets are round because there is pressure on the atmosphere from all four sides.  There is similar pressure on the earth as well.  That is why the earth is also round.

  * When the ships are seen moving in the sea, on going away, it is felt that the ships are sinking on the horizon and they disappear again.  If the Earth were flat, the ships would not have disappeared and if not through the eyes, they would have been visible through the telescope.
