'THE SMALLEST MEMORY CHIP' created....

According to the recently published in research journal, 'Nature Nanotechnology', the world's thinnest data, memory storage device have been created by Scientists, and whose size is just one square nanometer.

According to journal, Scientists have discovered the physical principle of accumulating more information in this device, due to which it has been possible to make such a small device.  He told that the superfine hole in it is the key point to collect more information.  The paper's co-author, Daji Ankinved, said, "When an extra atom of a metal is filled into a nano-sized hole, it transfers some of its conductivity to the material, thereby altering its ability to collect the data."

During the research, scientists have used molybdenum disulfide (MoS-2) as the primary nano object in the study.  Scientists hope that this discovery can be made using hundreds of atom-based thin objects such as mini-computer games.

He said that due to the reduced chip size, energy consumption is reduced and capacity increases.  Scientists said that this new device can store around 25 terabytes of data per square centimeter chip, which is more than 100 times the capacity of the device to preserve the data currently available.,more tech&science.
