HOW LONG CAN SURVIVE VIRUS CORONA ON GLASS AND CURRENCY NOTE ?

BRISBANE :The whole world is currently facing Corona pandemic. The corona virus has infected 3.71 million people worldwide so far and has claimed the lives of more than one million people. India has also been hit hard by Corona pandemic. More than 70 lakh cases have been reported in the country so far. Similarly, research on the corona virus has provided an important information.

    Researchers at the CSIRO's Disease Preparedness Center have made important findings on how long the corona virus can survive on various surfaces, under certain conditions.

    The corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) spreads rapidly on glass (mobile screen), steel,and plastic notes at 20 degree Celcius. It has also been found to survive on these surfaces for up to 28 days. At 30 degree Celcius it loses its ability to survive on the same surface for 7 days and at 40 Celcius for 24 hours. This has come to light from the research.

    Low temperatures reduce the survival of corona viruses on rough surfaces. Researchers also says that corona can't survive 14 days on rough surfaces, such as a clothing.
